Speaking to media persons, Chodankar also accused Parrikar of continuing to woo Congress MLAs despite having already deviously stolen the people’s mandate and being voted out of power.
“There is no way the BJP could have got a party which was dead against it and was at cross purposes to come on to its side of the table without money having changed hands. The figure will easily be in excess of `1,000 crore,” Chodankar said.
Also referring to Parrikar’s comments that Congress MLAs were continuing to approach him even as the party has proven its majority before the Governor, Chodankar instead challenged Parrikar to make the call and message records of Sadanand Shet Tanavade public which he said will prove that it is in fact the BJP that is continuing to try and buy Congress MLAs in its continued search for stability.
Earlier Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi too had accused the BJP of buying legislative assembly members and horse trading. Parrikar countered saying that it was the members
themselves who had approached him to resign from Delhi and be the Chief Minister of Goa based on which the party took a decision to form the government.
